Judy Pochel Van Tieghem is a freelance writer and award-winning journalist with experience in radio, television, and newspaper. She enjoys writing, researching and telling stories about interesting people and what they have done. A native of Illinois, she currently resides in the suburban Chicago area with her husband, Bob, and their dog, Apollo.

I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world. My pictures tell my stories.  I've spent over 40 years as a news videographer, but my real passion is still photography.  I bought my first camera at 14 years of age.  I love urban landscape photography. I am currently located in the Chicago area.
